Amongst the most important members of the Great British Car Journey community are our wonderful team of volunteers.
Visitors constantly comment on our beautifully presented collection, and there’s a good reason for that. Throughout the museum you’ll often spot one of our dedicated volunteers with Autoglym and cloth in hand, carefully removing the dust from a busy weekend, cleaning a car that’s recently been out on the road, or helping ensure every exhibit looks its very best for the next visitor.
But their contribution goes far beyond keeping the cars gleaming. Our volunteers are a friendly face for visitors, a wealth of knowledge, and passionate custodians of the stories behind the cars. Many have fascinating motoring tales of their own and love sharing memories, experiences and conversations with guests as they explore the museum.
