At Great British Car Journey we genuinely celebrate enthusiasm for the motor car, which is why children can visit FREE during most school holiday weeks, including this half term.
There’s plenty to keep younger visitors entertained throughout the museum too. Our interactive guides include a special children’s tour designed especially for younger guests, while our more hands-on activities include number plate hunts around the museum, Hot Wheels challenges and our ever-popular self-drive Mini Land Rovers.
One of the biggest favourites with children of all ages is, of course, our famous DeLorean DMC-12. On selected days, young visitors can even enjoy a passenger ride “Back to the Future” in this iconic movie car experience.
We’ve also got plenty happening over the Bank Holiday weekend. Every visitor to the museum across Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday will automatically be entered into our FREE raffle, with fantastic prizes up for grabs throughout the weekend.
When I was a lad, in much less enlightened times, playing with cars, whether that meant Dinky, Corgi or Matchbox, was very much considered a boys’ pastime, whilst girls were encouraged towards sewing or traditional board games instead.
Thankfully times have changed, and today enthusiasm for cars is something shared by young people of all ages. Here at Great British Car Journey we see that every day, with brothers and sisters battling it out in fierce competition on our indoor and outdoor Hot Wheels tracks!
Don’t forget our Bank Holiday Car Meet on Monday too, where enthusiasts and owners from across the region will fill the site with an incredible variety of vehicles, adding even more automotive excitement to your day out.
So, if the weather is a bit British this half term, bring the family down to Great British Car Journey for a full day of car-fuelled fun, interactive activities, classic motoring memories and the chance to win in our Bank Holiday raffle.
