Founder’s Blog October 2025 : Big Thankyou !!
Great British Car Journey is truly fortunate to have so many generous benefactors mainly in the form of individuals who donate precious cars to us in perpetuity.
Recently we have been given a pristine one owner from new 2005 MG TF with really low milage. This has then spired into me purchasing my own TF!
Another generous donation is a really lovely little dark green and black Austin Seven Ruby given to us by our long standing member Patrick. Patrick has owned the car for 6 years and has looked after it extremely well. It now sits pride of place at the enterance to the museum!
Finally we have been given a very early “New” Mini which narrowly escaped being broken for spares in our local scrap yard “Albert Looms”. Its a lovely little Mini ONE 1.6 and as you can see in the pictures below our master mechanic luke is working hard to bring it to the drive dads car fleet!
All these cars not only add huge value to the museum in terms of content but also help to keep the whole enterprise solvent by boosting the value of its assets.
I would like to sincerely thank Jacqueline Bird, Patrick Bateman and James Cullen for thinking of us and making such generous and special contributions to our story. Patrick is a long-time member of our Club and a very regular attendee at Car Journey and the little Ruby is as sweet as you like. HUGE THANKS ago you all.
