Mini 65th Birthday Party!

On this day, 26th August, exactly 65 years ago, the Mini was launched! At Great British Car Journey it’s no secret we absolutely love Minis and want to share our passion with other Mini enthusiasts so have created a special birthday celebration for what is probably the most iconic British car.

We are calling all owners of Minis to join us for our very special Great British Masters of the Marque in association with Wera Tools Mini 65th Birthday Party event at Great British Car Journey on Monday 26th August.

Discounted entry of just £10 per person (save £8.50 for each person on usual on the day price) is available for ALL occupants of ANY Mini attending on the day. The special discounted entry price includes full access to the Great British Car Journey interactive museum, cafe and facilities. 

Every Mini car will also receive a commemorative metal plaque on the day, plus the chance to take part in our themed Great British Masters of the Marque awards in association with Wera Tools. All entrants will have the chance to win a glass trophy or Wera Tools sets.

We recognise Sir Alec Issigonis as a genius. August 26^th is the day we acknowledge this and we would like to assemble as many Minis as possible and we reckon that because they are so tiny we have room for at least 400!!

• Along with the Mini cars and other exciting classic cars on show in the car park, at the event you can also enjoy the display of over 150 British classic cars in the museum too. With lots of Minis to see within the collection – Austin 7, Special Editions, Delivery Mileage, Cooper, Clubman etc.
• The Filling Station Cafe will be open as usual, serving great coffee, drinks and snacks.
