Great British Car Journey is so much more than just a car museum so we are always working hard to make sure we have something that will interest everybody in the family and this Easter is no exception as we have an action packed few weeks planned for you
Back when cars were much less reliable than they are now, Easter would have been the first test of the year for the family car in terms of a holiday drive or trip.
After a Winter of short journeys, excitement would mount as the family prepared for a few days out or even a holiday as daffodils and frolicking lambs signalled that Spring had sprung .
Relive that excitement and wallow in nostalgia by visiting The Great British Car Journey where all the family favourites of the last century are on display …and available to drive !
Marvel at the magnificent Morris Minor and smile at the original Mini with its tiny wheels and cute demeanour. Cortinas, Escorts, Cavaliers and Chevettes : immaculate examples of the cars which transported millions of families taking a break at this time of year.
We are running driving days on Saturday 19th and Wednesday 23rd
Riley the Rabbit is back and hiding in some of our cars. All children visiting get free entry to the museum (with accompanying adult) and the chance to win easter eggs
As well as free entry and the Easter Egg hunt children also get their own special tour created just for them which allows them to get involved with the attraction and take part in quizzes, build their own cars, puzzles and more
So this is not just a trip down memory lane for Mum and Dad but a fun day out for the whole family
We are running our first ever driving experience day for children on Saturday April 19th – there are still some spaces let so why not book a drive for your kids this Easter
