The MG Midget was destined for an 18 year production run during which time its engine increased in size from 948cc to 1493cc but not much else changed apart from the move to rather ugly rubber bumpers in 1974 to meet safety regulations in America. The Midget of 1961 was a restyled version of the Austin Healey “Frogeye” Sprite.
The mug features a full wrap around image of a stunning photo of this car from the Great British Car Journey museum.
