By the end of 1965, the golden era of Autocar covers had drawn to a close. The mast-head Autocar logo had lost its flamboyancy, and badly directed photography had taken over where there had once been wonderful and evocative illustrations. This shot of 7 Rover 2000s is a brave effort to convey fun by shooting them on a circuit, and dates from November 26th 1965.
