The Great British Car Journey is an award winning visitor attraction that opened in 2021 and is well equipped with excellent visitor facilities to support what is now one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Peak District & Derwent Valley. Â
Under Cover
Housed in a large former industrial unit we are under cover so perfect for all weathers
Free Parking
We have a large free visitor car park capable for catering for 100s of visitors every dayÂ
Modern Toilets
We have spacious modern toilet and washroom facilitiesÂ
Accessible
Although jam packed with cars we have made sure we are wheelchair friendly too
Baby Changing
Both the male and female toilets have baby changing facilities and we have high chairs in the cafe
Picnic Area
We have an outdoor picnic area where you can eat your own food or food purchased from the cafe
Our site is the gateway to the historic Shining Cliff Ancient woodland perfect for exploring
WiFi
We have guest Wifi available throughout the site very useful in a poor phone reception area
Photo Printing
Plenty of opportunity for photos – we can also offer a professional photo printing service
We are well served by public transport so it is easy to get to us by bus or train if you have no car
We have a unique audio guide for all visitors but can also provide personal tours for groupsÂ
Although we are focussed on cars from the past we have made sure we have child friendly tours tooÂ
