Opening Times
We’re currently operating on our Winter opening times:
We are open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm (last entry at 2pm)
- Our Filling Station Cafe is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm and welcomes both museum visitors and the general public. Please note that after 2:00pm, our kitchen closes for hot meals, but a selection of sandwiches, cakes, and drinks remains available until 4:00pm.

You can book your tickets for all dates online here but entrance can also be paid for upon arrival.
Please note it is always cheaper to pre-book your tickets online.
Car clubs, organisations, groups and coaches are very welcome all year and we can arrange additional opening hours to support your event or visit if required. Please visit our Groups & Corporate Events page for more details.

What is the Best Day to Visit?
There is always a lot going on at the Great British Car Journey every day of the week but if you are wondering what would be the best day to visit our interactive museum then you might find the information below useful to help you decideÂ
If you want to drive a car whilst with us then you need to avoid Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays & Sundays and make sure you visit on a day when we are operating Drive Dads Car. If you want to see lots of extra cars in the Car Park then come on an event day

Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays
Not only could you drive cars on these days you also get to see lots of classic cars not in the main museum being driven by others
Special Events on
Sundays & Bank Holidays
We have lots of special events and visiting car clubs so you can often get to see a lot of bonus cars if you come on an event day.Â
