Family & Child Friendly Attraction
We are a very different type of car museum and our aim is to provide a nostalgic journey through history highlighted by all the classic cars from your past. We know how important it is to keep the kids entertained too, so we’ve worked hard to make sure we have something to interest everyone in the family. We were very proud to be finalists in the Muddy Awards 2024 for the Best Family Attraction confirming our position as one of the top indoor museums for kids in the Peak District.
Children's Interactive Guide
Our interactive museum has a special tour created just for the kids which allows them to get involved with the attraction and take part in quizzes, build their own cars, puzzles and more.
Number Plate Hunt
New for Summer 2024 we have introduced a number plate treasure hunt where children will have to find specific number plates in our collection of cars. There’s a small prize for everyone taking part and weekly draws for model cars.
Cars from Film & TV
We have got lots of interesting cars from the world of Film and Television. As well as other vehicles that will interest the kids from the Delorean to a Formula 1 car and even an Amphibious car.
DeLorean Passenger Rides
If you or your kids enjoyed the classic film Back to the Future then you will be pleased to know we are offering passenger rides in our own time machine the DeLorean DMC 12 during the school holidays. Available every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for just £10 per ride. Just book your entrance tickets online and sign up for your rides at the front desk when you arrive.
For DeLorean fans we also offer a range of DeLorean merchandise online as well as models, books and posters in our onsite gift shop.
