We are now back to opening 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm every day until 31st October 2024
- Opening Times 10am to 6pm
- Last Entry 4pm
- Cafe Open until 4pm
- Our reduced winter opening hours will start again on 1st November 2024 and we will close our doors one hour earlier at 5pm until the clocks change again in March 2025
You can book your tickets for all dates online here but entrance can also be paid for upon arrival. Please note it is cheaper to pre-book your tickets
Car clubs, organisations, groups and coaches are very welcome all year and we can arrange additional opening hours to support your event or visit if required. Please visit our Groups & Corporate Events page for more details

What is the Best Day to Visit?
There is always a lot going on at the Great British Car Journey every day of the week but if you are wondering what would be the best day to visit our interactive museum then you might find the information below useful to help you decide
If you want to drive a car whilst with us then you need to avoid Mondays, Tuesdays & Sundays and make sure you visit on a day when we are operating either Drive Dads Car or Taster Drives
Taster Drives on
Thursdays & Fridays
If you want to drive one of our “hero” cars or would like to see them being driven by others then it is worth coming on Taster Drive day
Drive Dads Car on Wednesdays & Saturdays
Not only could you drive cars on these days you also get to see lots of classic cars not in the main museum being driven by others
Special Events on
Sundays & Bank Holidays
We have lots of special events and visiting car clubs so you can often get to see a lot of bonus cars if you come on an event day.
